Admissions into Primary School 2025

APPLICATIONS WILL BE OPEN FROM TUESDAY 5TH NOVEMBER AND WILL CLOSE ON WEDNESDAY 15TH JANUARY 2025.

Children begin school at the start of the academic year in which they will turn five years old and whether it is your first child is starting school or your fourth it is important that you choose the school that is right for your child. Our school website gives prospective parents a taste of what school life at Shatterlocks Infant & Nursery School is like and the information on this page goes through the procedure and the children's eventual induction. Wednesday 15th January 2025 | School applications close

Wednesday 16th April 2025 | National Offer Day

Wednesday 30th April 2025 | Places must be accepted/refused

 

Applying for a Primary School

Choosing the Right School for your Child

When applying for a primary school, the most important thing is to ask yourself, 'Would my child be happy here?' and we would certainly encourage you to visit the school and to bring your child with you. 

They are a great way to see the facilities that we have on offer; see the learning going on around the school and meet key members of staff - it's also an opportunity for you to ask questions to see if Shatterlocks is the right school for your child.

 

Information for Starting School in September 2025

Once places have been confirmed, teachers will contact feeder nurseries and visit the children where possible. We have also put together a series of events to support the children (and parents) in starting school.
