Mrs House has also joined our wonderful Nursery whilst Miss Willson will be on Maternity leave.
The nursery offers both 15 hours and 30 hours per week during term times, depending on individual funding. These are provided in either a morning, an afternoon or all-day sessions. The Nursery offers an early drop for a £1 Charge. Extra sessions can be offered depending on Nursery availability. These sessions will have an extra charge of £15 for 3 hours. We do not accept children under 3 years of age.
- AM: Monday to Friday 09:00 to 12:00
- PM: Monday to Friday 12:00 to 15:00
- All-day: Monday to Friday 09:00 to 15:00
Please see our Nursery Admissions policy below. Please note that Shatterlocks Nursery is open term time only in line with Shatterlocks Infant School and will be closed for bank holidays and up to 5 inset days (staff training days) per year.

Term 1
Marvellous Me!
We have had a busy first full week at nursery! This week we have spent some time getting to know our teachers and making lots of new friends! We have thoroughly enjoyed playing with the toys in our nursery and getting to enjoy our brilliant outside area too! Please speak to any staff member if you need any support or guidance with starting Nursery.
Term 2
Colours and Materials
We will be learning all about colours and materials through lots of different stories including ‘The 3 little pigs’, ‘Elmer’ and ‘Brown bear, brown bear’. We also look forward to our special activities including fireworks, Poppy day, Children in Need and of course Christmas!

Special Events/Activities/News
We have some exciting things coming up this term.
Children in Need Friday 15th November Stay and play afternoon
All parents and children are invited in to do lots of fun activities with their children and we also hope to raise some funds whilst having fun!
We will be closed on Friday 29th November as this is a staff development day.
It’s never to early to mention CHRISTMAS! We will be inviting you all parents and children to join us in our Christmas songs and craft afternoon. This will be on the Friday 13th December in the afternoon.
Christmas party date will be Thursday 19th December – ALL children are welcome to attend. We will be playing lots of fun games as well as having some party food (the list will go up a week before).
As we enter the winter, please can you ensure your child has a warm coat, hat, gloves and wellies if needed. We like to be outside and exploring in all weathers.
